RK&K RK&K's Construction Engineering Inspection and Construction Management Division is hiring Senior Construction Inspector. As a Construction Inspector with RK&K you will apply your knowledge of construction, safety, quality, and materials to provide critical inspection services on heavy civil construction sites. Including highway, bridge, design/design-build projects. Opportunities for growth and training into team leadership, construction management, and office engineering careers.
Essential Function
Provide construction management support, including inspection and monitoring of construction structures to ensure compliance with safety regulations Fully engage in solving complex problems to provide technical evaluation and sound solutions Monitor the activities of other Inspectors Ability to communicate effectively across different platforms with project management, clients, stakeholders, and contractors Interface with clients, state and federal agencies, and other engineering disciplines on construction projects Recordkeeping and reporting as required
RK&K hires those with contracting, military, surveying, and related experience; we will provide further training.
Required Skills And Experience
Two (2) years of relevant experience in materials, standards, and specifications related to state highway projects and facilities Excellent verbal and written communication skills Capable of working independently on small construction projects Acceptable driving record High School Diploma or GED
Preferred Skills And Experience
Inspection experience including roadway, asphalt, concrete, pavement markings, structure and bridge construction methods Local public agency experience desired Material Certifications are a plus (Asphalt, Concrete, Pavement Marking, Soils, Intermediate Traffic Control Certified,etc.) Associate or bachelor's in engineering or similar field of study
