The Mgr, Social Media Content & Strategy, News will drive social media strategies to elevate the Spectrum News brand, working cross-functionally to deliver engaging content that fosters brand loyalty. This position requires a proven record of writing and approving social copy under pressure, as well as creating optimized assets for social platforms. The role will be responsible for managing and executing comprehensive content plans and metrics/optimizations reports, collaborating with multiple internal teams including on-air talent. The ideal candidate is organized, creative, strategic, a master wordsmith, and passionate about news/politics and building online communities.
Actively support efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
Manage operations for the brand's key social channels, including planning, briefing, and content execution, ensuring consistency with brand voice across Spectrum News.
Maintain a regular posting schedule for content and editorial pieces across social media accounts.
Manage multiple content projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and maintaining content quality aligned with the brand identity.
Collaborate with marketing teams to align social media with broader campaigns and goals.
Coordinate with editorial teams on social franchises and content execution.
Guide on-air talent on leveraging their social channels to maximize opportunities.
Work with department leads to develop and implement plans for networks to increase engagement and KPIs in line with Spectrum News' strategy.
Track, report, and analyze social content performance, providing recommendations for improvement.
Oversee, write, and edit social media copy, ensuring alignment with brand voice and guidelines.
Edit and approve social posts in real-time for journalistic accuracy and tone.
Explore user-generated content opportunities to tap into trends and reach new audiences.
Stay updated on social media trends and share insights with the team.
Respond professionally and promptly to requests from teammates, clients, and employees.
Lead, assign, train, and supervise team members.
Produce and edit various content elements as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, and Adobe Creative Suite.

$86,000.00 to $152,400.00 . Actual offers depend on skills, experience, and location. Some positions may include additional incentives such as bonuses.
