About the Role
We are seeking an Electrical / Hardware Test Engineer with strong hands‑on lab experience to support product safety and compliance testing for electronic and electrical products. This role is ideal for engineers who have worked in hardware testing, validation, or lab environments and are interested in building expertise in UL / IEC product safety standards.
Candidates with solid engineering fundamentals and a willingness to learn product safety standards are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform hands‑on electrical testing and hardware testing in a lab environment
- Execute safety‑related tests such as:
- Thermal testing
- Grounding / earthing
- Dielectric withstand (HiPot)
- Leakage / touch current
- Abnormal operation testing
- Set up and operate lab equipment including multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, and test fixtures
- Support product certification and compliance activities in coordination with external test labs (UL, CSA, etc.)
- Document test procedures, test results, and observations clearly
- Work closely with cross‑functional engineering teams to identify and resolve safety issues
- Learn and apply IEC / UL safety standards as part of on‑the‑job training
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field (BSEE / BSCE or equivalent)
- 2–6 years of experience in hardware testing, electrical testing, validation, or lab engineering
- Hands‑on experience working in an electronics or hardware lab
- Familiarity with electrical test equipment (multimeter, oscilloscope, etc.)
- Strong problem‑solving and documentation skills
- Comfortable working onsite in a lab environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to product safety, compliance, or certification testing
- Familiarity with UL / IEC standards (formal experience not mandatory; training provided)
- Experience supporting external certification or reliability testing
- Basic scripting or automation experience (nice to have, not required)
