Our highly respected team of design professionals complemented by an exceptional staff of full-service surveying, offer effective and sustainable solutions for our clients’ land planning, permitting, stormwater, water/sewer, erosion control, landscaping and other development and land management needs. We plan and design residential communities, retail shops, parks, solar farms, educational buildings, industrial, manufacturing and commercial facilities that meet today’s needs in the context of tomorrow’s generations. The diverse services we provide allow our staff to become familiar with a wide range of engineering principles.
What You Can Expect Day-to-day
Providing technical and design services in support of land (site) development projects. Reporting regularly to Project Manager and Operations Manager. Conduct preliminary/due diligence evaluations, prepare various reports, produce design and construction drawings, prepare technical specifications, and prepare permit submittals for civil engineering projects. Work as part of a project team, manage project tasks and provide direction to team members. Perform various tasks on several concurrent projects and following these tasks through to completion within the allocated period of time and the monetary budget assigned. Coordination with regulatory agencies
What You Need
Bachelor's of Science in Civil or Environmental Engineering NC PE or ability to acquire NC PE quickly through reciprocity. AutoCAD 2016 Civil 3d experience Experience with hydraulic and hydrologic modeling software including Hydraflow and StormCAD (or similar product) Technically competent, a team player and good communications ability required. Proven record of technical competency, willingness to work as a team player and good communications skills. Valid driver's license and an acceptable motor vehicle and criminal record
What Will Make You Stand Out
Experience in land development projects, specifically site layout, grading, erosion control, water and sewer utilities and stormwater management. Stormwater management experience should include design of wet detention ponds, infiltration systems, pipe drainage systems, and familiarity with the NCDEMLR Stormwater Management Program. 2-3 years of experience managing land development design tasks within budget and on schedule.
