Backend Engineer

Responsibilities: Architect, build, and maintain scalable backend systems powering data ingestion, processing, and knowledge graph construction. Design and develop frameworks to operationalize large language models and retrieval systems. Optimize cloud infrastructure (preferably GCP or AWS) for high performance, cost-efficiency, and reliability. Collaborate with ML, frontend, and product teams to design workflows and deliver seamless integrations. Ensure observability, scalability, and fault-tolerance in production systems. Lead and influence decisions around infrastructure modernization and AI tooling. Stay on the pulse of evolving backend and AI/ML tech to ensure we remain industry leaders. Requirements: 3+ years of hands-on backend development experience, preferably in Python. Strong experience building scalable abstractions and internal tools for other developers. Practical knowledge of cloud platforms (GCP or AWS) and infrastructure as code. Familiarity with orchestration and container tech: Docker, Kubernetes, Airflow, etc.
