Changeover Labor
Department: Event Services Reports To: Changeover Lead or Changeover Manager Classification: Part-time/On-call Compensation: $20.00 an hour Position Summary: Under direction, set up and take down meeting rooms, ballrooms, and exhibit halls. Essential Functions: Participates in Event set-ups and strikes, including but not limited to, chairs, tables, riser/stages, reader boards, stanchions, lecterns, piano, office furniture and equipment, etc. Cleans equipment when necessary. Makes recommendations for the improvement of all phases of the facility operation. Works safely at all times, notifying the Lead or Supervisor immediately of any accidents/incidents. Perform other duties as assigned. Experience/Training/Education: Required: None Desirable: Previous experience in a similar line of work License/Certificate: Prefer forklift certificate Knowledge/Abilities/Skills: Knowledge of: Safe work practices Ability to: Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing using the English language Receive direction both verbally and in writing and follow those directions precisely Present a professional appearance and demeanor at all times during the workday Skill to:
Operate radio devices Physical and Environmental Requirements:
This position requires lifting at least 50lbs. without assistance for 40% of the workday; walking for long distances for more than 50% of the workday; sitting, bending, and stooping will be required; subject to adverse conditions; irregular hours will be required.
