Job Description

The Manufacturing Programmer is centered on developing and optimizing CNC programs for both milling and turning operations within a manufacturing environment. The programmer will work closely with engineering and shop floor teams to ensure programs are accurate, efficient, and aligned with production requirements. Responsibilities also include generating setup documentation, verifying toolpaths through simulation, and supporting process improvements to ensure proficient machining performance and reduce downtime. Key responsibilities include: Creating CNC programs for multi-axis mills. Developing tooling and setup sheets to support machine operations. Use of a variety of simulation tools. Troubleshooting program-related issues during production. Reviewing and modifying existing programs to improve quality, cycle time, and consistency. A successful Manufacturing Programmer candidate is hands-on with CNC programming. Also has a strong understanding of multi-axis milling and turning operations in a high-precision environment. They are detail-oriented, analytical, and capable of working independently while collaborating effectively with production and engineering teams. This individual enjoys working in a fast-paced setting, takes ownership of their work, and is committed to continuous improvement. Key qualifications include: Proven experience programming CNC mills and lathes. Proficiency in CAD/CAM software, with a solid grasp of GD&T and blueprint interpretation. Familiarity with tooling selection, speeds/feeds, and machining strategies for various materials. Background in a regulated or quality-focused manufacturing environment (e.g., aerospace, medical, defense). Strong communication skills, time management, and the ability to troubleshoot issues under pressure. What's on Offer
