Full-Time About the Opportunity : A nationally recognized Am Law 100 firm is seeking a Senior Counsel to join its Technology, Manufacturing & Transportation practice group, focused on asbestos defense litigation. This is a high-level role suited for a seasoned litigator ready to take strategic ownership of complex toxic tort matters. Open to candidates based anywhere in California, with court experience and a strong defense background. What Youll Do : Manage all phases of asbestos litigation, including depositions, motions, discovery, and trial prep Make court appearances and argue motions in high-stakes, multi-party cases Collaborate with national litigation teams and corporate clients on strategy Mentor junior associates and oversee case-specific workflows Draft compelling legal briefs and manage document-intensive matters Maintain strong relationships with clients, co-defendants, and experts Navigate complex procedural and substantive law issues in California courts Work with litigation support teams and leverage internal firm resources Contribute to thought leadership, pro bono, or community engagement efforts What You Bring : 10+ years of asbestos litigation experience required Must be licensed to practice in California and reside in-state Prior experience at a top-tier national law firm or equivalent required Defense-side only background (no plaintiff-side, freelance, or unstable work histories) Excellent courtroom presence and advocacy skills Strong academic credentials and writing ability Strategic thinker with the ability to manage complex, document-heavy caseloads Whats Offered : Salary range of $200,000 $220,000 (commensurate with experience) Performance-based bonus eligibility Opportunity to work with a leading Am Law 100 firm Remote flexibility within California Engaged, nationally integrated litigation team with high-profile matters Want to Stand Out?
