Schedule: FT / Days Location: 601 EAST ROLLINS STREET, Orlando, 32803 The community youll be caring for: Located on a lush tropical campus, our flagship hospital, 1,368-bed AdventHealth Orlando. Serves as the major tertiary facility for much of the Southeast, the Caribbean and South America. AdventHealth Orlando houses one of the largest Emergency Departments and largest cardiac catheterization labs in the country. We are already one of the busiest hospitals in the nation, providing service excellence to more than 32,000 inpatients and 125,000 outpatients each year Job Summary: The Director of Development is accountable for the long-term growth of the assigned beneficiary/ies, securing major philanthropic support and maintaining long-term relationships that lead to significant donations from individuals, corporations, and foundations. This position is responsible for recruiting physicians, community leaders, philanthropists, and business leaders to serve on the Beneficiary Foundation Board, and/or other volunteer activities to raise funds and awareness in the community for AdventHealth Central Florida programs and services. You will be responsible for: Maintains regular open communication and collaborates with senior leadership, clinicians and supporting staff to ascertain needs and impact to then match these with donors and potential donors Maintains a portfolio of 120-140 potential, major, and estate gift donors Responsible for raising $2,000,000 annually for beneficiary or exceeding beneficiary goal. Responsible for conducting 240-400 meetings per year (no chance encounters) and soliciting 20-24 major gifts per year (minimum of $25,000 for multi-year pledges), to be created and managed in Raisers Edge through Proposal module. Conduct 20% of meetings in Identification Increase by 10% year over year number of NEW prospects added to beneficiary pipeline (3YR Rolling AVG) Manages the beneficiary Board meetings activities and communicates regularly with the members between meetings. Serves on Foundation Presidents Leadership Cabinet and provides knowledge and expertise to elevate fundraising performance to match nationally leading programs in Healthcare Philanthropy. Maintains memberships and actively participates in professional organizations. Provide mentorship and training to the development professionals by modeling the way and utilizing national best practices in fundraising. Responsible for recruiting physicians, community leaders, philanthropists, and business leaders to serve on the Beneficiary Foundation Board, and/or other volunteer activities to raise funds and awareness in the community for AdventHealth Central Florida programs and services. Develops strategic fundraising plans, conceptualizes key trends and identifies viable fundraising opportunities.
