Position Summary
Reporting to the President & Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the VP of Finance is responsible for managing the financial operations of the organization, ensuring the organization's financial health and sustainability. This role will oversee all financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and compliance requirements and will be responsible for the management and leadership of the Finance, Revenue Management, Information Technology, and Facilities departments, as well as all accounting functions, cash management, contract management, budget leadership, and coordinator of the annual audit. The VP of Finance will set the organization's financial policy and direction while also being an active participant in, and driver of, the organization's overall strategy. The VP of Finance will work closely with the Chief Executive Officer to develop and implement financial strategies that support the organization's mission and goals.
As the organization moves toward achieving Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) certification, the VP of Finance will evolve into a strategic leader within the CCBHC executive team. This includes directing financial planning related to Prospective Payment System (PPS) reimbursement, supporting staffing and infrastructure development, and helping to establish Designated Collaborating Organizations (DCOs). The VP will work closely with clinical and operational teams on needs assessments and continuous quality improvement (CQI) initiatives, while also ensuring compliance with accreditation standards and contributing to strong governance practices.
The VP of Finance will align their financial expertise with CCBHC's quality, compliance, and sustainable goals and be the leadership teams financial architect for CCBHC success.
This is a key employment position under the Family and Medical Leave Act.

Education Experience/Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a closely related field is required. An MBA or Master's degree in Finance or a related discipline is strongly preferred. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) certification is highly desirable. advanced Excel capabilities. A minimum of 10-15 years of progressive financial management experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role, preferably as CFO, VP of Finance, or Senior Director of Finance in a non-profit organization. Proven ability to lead and manage finance teams effectively, fostering professional growth and team development. Demonstrated experience collaborating with executive leadership and engaging with board members on strategic financial planning and reporting. In-depth knowledge of non-profit accounting standards, including fund accounting, and compliance with relevant financial reporting requirements (e.g., GAAP, FASB standards for non-profits). Comprehensive experience in managing budgets, grants, and funding streams from a variety of sources, such as government contracts, philanthropic grants, and fundraising efforts. Demonstrated expertise in preparing and presenting financial statements, audits, and reporting to regulatory bodies and funders. A strong background in strategic financial planning, risk management, and fiscal policy development to align financial operations with the organization's mission and long-term goals. Experience developing and implementing financial strategies to enhance operational effectiveness and sustainability. Success in forecasting, financial modeling, and analysis to support executive decision-making. Extensive experience ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations affecting non-profit organizations, including IRS 990 filings and other relevant regulatory requirements Familiarity with best practices in internal controls, audit procedures, and financial risk management. Experience partnering with fundraising and development teams to maximize revenue and manage funding portfolios. Skilled in communicating complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders, including Team Members, donors, and community partners.
