Responsibilities include:
Administering anesthetic care for patients requiring anesthesia, sedation, and pain relief therapy.
Performing pre-anesthetic assessments and evaluations.
Administering pre-anesthesia medication and anesthesia (general, regional, local, or moderate sedation).
Developing and implementing care plans, including post-anesthesia follow-up.
Monitoring patient conditions and responding to abnormalities.
Providing emergent care, including airway management and administration of emergency fluids, blood, drugs, and life support techniques.
Managing clinical support functions, materials, supplies, and developing policies.
Requires critical thinking, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must work effectively in stressful environments.
Qualifications:
Master's degree from an accredited Anesthesia Education Program.
Current CRNA license in Alabama, certified by the Alabama Board of Nursing and NBCRNA.
Current RN license in Alabama.
Valid BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications (BLS within 30 days of hire, ACLS & PALS within 6 months).
Reports to: Chief CRNA.
