Billing Specialist (Construction)

Location: Alexandria / Springfield, VA - on-site Assignment Type: Temp-to-permanent role Compensation: $33-36/ hour / $75-80K conversion salary Work Schedule: M-F, 9-5 Benefits: This position is eligible for Medical, Dental, and 401(k) Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and submit accurate and timely customer invoices based on contracts, progress billing, and work completed. Process AIA billing, including G702/G703 forms, lien waivers, and related documentation. Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up with clients on past-due invoices. Communicate with project managers, subcontractors, and clients to resolve billing discrepancies and ensure accurate documentation. Track and manage retention payments and project-specific billing terms. Assist with month-end close processes related to AR, including reconciliations and reporting. Maintain organized records of all billing transactions, contracts, and change orders. Collaborate with finance, operations, and project teams to ensure accurate job costing and revenue recognition. Qualifications:

24 years of experience in accounts receivable and billing, preferably within the construction industry. Strong knowledge of construction billing practices, AIA documents, and project accounting. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., Sage 300, Viewpoint, QuickBooks, or similar). Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Strong communication and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work independently and prioritize in a fast-paced environment. Addison Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
