Mitigation Manager Position

The Mitigation Manager is responsible for leading the mitigation division, overseeing all aspects of water, mold, fire, and smoke restoration projects. They provide guidance to Project Managers and field teams, ensuring jobs are completed according to industry standards, company policies, and budget expectations. This role requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and a commitment to customer service. The Mitigation Manager will also ensure compliance with insurance requirements, maintain job profitability, and foster a positive work environment for employees. In addition to daily operations oversight, this position involves developing staff, monitoring job progress, and maintaining strong relationships with adjusters, clients, and vendors. You will be responsible for upholding quality control and ensuring that all mitigation processes align with IICRC standards and company expectations. Job Responsibilities Directly supervise and provide leadership to Project Managers, Lead Technicians, and Mitigation Technicians. Ensure all jobs are completed according to company processes, budgets, and compliance standards. Monitor job progress, timelines, and documentation accuracy to maintain efficiency. Conduct regular site visits and inspections to ensure proper procedures are followed. Ensure equipment is properly maintained, cleaned, and available for job deployment. Work with insurance adjusters, agents, and property owners to resolve claims efficiently. Manage job scheduling and coordination of field teams to ensure smooth operations. Review and approve mitigation estimates and documentation in industry-standard software (e.g., Xactimate, MICA, DryTrack, Encircle, or company-specific software). Implement training programs for field staff to improve job performance and technical skills. Ensure adherence to OSHA, IICRC, and company safety policies, maintaining a safe working environment. Work closely with ownership and administrative teams to track KPIs, profitability, and resource management. Resolve customer concerns, job-site conflicts, or escalated issues related to mitigation projects. May assist with large-loss project oversight and emergency response coordination. Job Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred. 5+ years of experience in water, mold, or fire mitigation (preferably in a leadership role). Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. IICRC Certifications highly preferred: WRT

Experience in insurance claims processes, billing, and collections preferred. Must be available for on-call rotations for after-hours emergencies. Wear protective gear, including respirators when necessary, with proper facial fitment.
