The role involves working in a high-yield bond workout practice, engaging with bondholder groups and trustees in distressed situations. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in bankruptcy law. Duties: Represent clients in restructuring and bankruptcy matters, focusing on distressed high-yield bond workouts. Handle cases involving secured lenders, bankruptcy litigation, and receivership proceedings. Collaborate with attorneys nationwide on complex legal issues. Assist in managing distressed assets across various sectors. Travel as needed for case-related activities and client meetings. Requirements: 1-3 years of bankruptcy experience, preferably with secured lenders. Experience in bankruptcy litigation and receivership courts is preferred. Exposure to high-yield tax-exempt debt markets is a plus. Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills. Teamwork and collaboration skills. Education: Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school. Certifications: Bar admission in Massachusetts or eligibility for waiver. Skills: Expertise in bankruptcy law and restructuring.
