Primary Duties and Responsibilities The Consultant Engagement Manager will support the management of the firm’s growing network of roughly 400+ freelance grants consultants who comprise the M&Q Consultant Network, as it relates to the higher education, nonprofit, or healthcare practices. The Consultant Engagement Manager will report to the Senior Managing Director, Consultant Engagement. Primary duties will include: Provide ongoing administrative and relational support to the Consultant Network – such as communicating with consultants, approving invoices and managing accounting processes, monitoring bid alerts for upcoming opportunities, enforcing network policies and procedures, and handling day-to-day administrative tasks Implement and manage consultant recruitment strategies: This includes network marketing, forecasting future needs for grants and projects, and developing/updating practice-specific marketing materials. Serve as the Consultant Engagement Team Business Partner for the Higher Education practice Work with McAllister & Quinn staff to match consultants with client projects and team members Manage new consultant recruitment and onboarding, and support integration of new consultants into the network Facilitate firm-wide coordination of resources on projects Manage consultant feedback systems and evaluations Assist M&Q team members with consultant network needs, questions, and conflicts on projects Support delivery of onboarding activities for the consultant network (i.e. using the consultant portal, invoicing, network policies, contract questions, etc.) Collaborate with the IT and Salesforce Administration teams to manage the firm's Salesforce database of grant writers, consultants, and projects. Provide direct support to consultants and internal staff, troubleshooting platform issues and ensuring data integrity for consultant and project tracking. Requirements Bachelor’s degree 1-3 years of related work experience preferred Background or interest in human resources, recruitment, management and leadership, or Salesforce data management Strong skills in database and information management; Excel and/or Salesforce experience preferred Highly organized with strong attention to detail Excellent problem-solving skills Comfortable and poised in a fast-paced, high-growth environment Excellent people and communication skills Interest or experience in higher education, non-profits, healthcare, a plus Compensation and Benefits: Normal work hours are 8:30 am through 5:30 pm EST Monday through Friday Location: Washington, DC; In-office on a hybrid schedule Competitive 401(k), healthcare, dental, employee-directed vision, basic life insurance, long-term disability, dependent care FSA, Healthcare HSA/FSA, and transit benefits Salary consideration will be commensurate with experience: Base range is $59,000 – $65,000 and discretionary bonus eligibility.
