contributing valuable knowledge that leads to tomorrow's cures for conditions such as heart failure, cancer and other diseases. The role you'll contribute: The Clinical Scholar position is responsible for the supervision and instruction of Nursing students in the clinical (acute care) area. Clinical Scholars develop, design and deliver instruction in clinical courses in collaboration with the course coordinator and review and assist with revision as needed for department policies and procedures. Collaborate with Department Chair and Unit/Campus Leadership to provide an optimal student learning experience to meet course objectives. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all. The value you'll bring to the team: Teach students during their clinical rounds, and pre/post conferences. Support and enforce the course syllabus in collaboration with the course coordinator. Develop, design, and deliver instruction in collaboration with the course coordinator. Grade clinical assignments and review evaluations with students. Serve as a clinical liaison between AdventHealth University and AdventHealth acute care units. Monitors and reports compliance with required documentation for academic clinical experience. Plans, implements and coordinates activities related to training nursing students during their academic clinical experiences. Activities to include coaching of student nurse and performance evaluation in collaboration with academic liaison. Accepts responsibility for measuring, documenting, and supporting competency, and for addressing any deficiencies in student's competence. The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed: Bachelor's of Nursing. Registered Nurse (RN). Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS). Advanced Cardiac Life Support Cert (ACLS). Pediatric Advanced Life Support Cert (PALS). Neonatal Resuscitation Protocol (NRP).
