Description

The Director of IT Asset Management (ITAM) is responsible for the strategic oversight and operational execution of the TCH IT asset lifecycle. This includes the acquisition, deployment, utilization, tracking, and disposal of hardware and software assets. The ITAM Director ensures compliance with licensing agreements, optimizes asset utilization, and supports cost-effective IT operations.

Key responsibilities include:

Developing and leading the IT Asset Management strategy aligned with organizational goals.

Establishing policies, standards, and procedures for asset lifecycle management.

Managing relationships and procedures with the managed services provider, ensuring proper governance.

Overseeing the end-to-end lifecycle of IT assets (hardware, software, cloud subscriptions).

Ensuring accurate inventory and asset tracking using ITAM tools (ServiceNow HAMPro and SAMPro) and CMDB systems.

Ensuring compliance with software licensing agreements, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.

Leading internal and external audits related to IT assets.

Collaborating with O&T Administration, Finance, and Procurement to manage IT asset budgets and forecasts.

Identifying cost-saving opportunities through asset optimization and vendor negotiations.

Building, developing, and mentoring a small internal team of ITAM professionals.

Partnering across departments to ensure training and compliance with ITAM processes.

Fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and service excellence.

Serving as the primary point of contact for IT asset-related inquiries and escalations.

Qualifications include:

ITIL, IAITAM Certification such as CITAM, CSAM, CHAMP, or equivalent.

Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Deep understanding of IT infrastructure, software licensing, and procurement processes.

Ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive change.

This position offers a pay range of $90.00 - $100.00/hr, with benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), life insurance, disability, HSA, transportation benefits, and PTO. The role is hybrid in Winston-Salem, NC, with an application deadline of August 8, 2025.
