Performs all exams, on all types of patients: Inpatient (IP), Outpatient (OP) and Emergency Department (ED) using FH XR protocols. Follows FH policy for proper identification of patient prior to performing exam. Educates patient concerning exam. Properly screens patient for contrast allergies. Completes all exams in a timely manner, keeps work flow moving for assigned campus, and minimizes empty table time. Follows through after completing exam with communication, transportation and discharge of OPs. Maintains supplies by notifying manager to order items when par levels are low and puts new stock away upon arrival to department. Utilizes the knowledge of a full range of imaging procedures and equipment in assigned department. Utilizes the knowledge and skills for age-specific factors necessary to perform safe and effective procedures on patient of all ages; adapts protocols as necessary. Helps to develop knowledge and competency of technologists and students; may serve as clinical instructor to the XR students. Contributes to a positive patient experience by utilizing customer service techniques and offering service recovery to patients and families as needed. Assists with collection of data for all KPIs realizing final department goals. Participates on PI Teams when asked and participates in Gallup survey. Consistently attends department meetings or other mandatory meetings with positive engagement toward department and others. Listens and is responsible for knowing content. May be responsible for material management processes, including ordering, stocking, and maintaining inventory for medical and pharmaceutical supplies required for the department. May perform waived and/or non-waived Point of Care Testing. If performing non-waived Point of Care Testing, as defined in AHCA rule 59A-7.034, must have approved competency and documented proof (copy of either diploma or transcript, at the highest level of academic achievement) at the time of Florida Hospital non-waived Point of Care training.
