Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Management, Business or Public Administration required; and five or more years of internal customer-facing project management experience in the management of IT operations, and five or more years of experience supervising the work of subordinate employees; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The Deputy Director, Information Technology is responsible for the planning and implementation of enterprise IT systems for the Court Technology Division for the Court of assignment and supports large complex strategic programs and initiatives with significant impact to overall court services and programs. Essential Functions:

Manage the division’s project management initiatives overseeing the selection, acquisition, development and installation of information systems. Responsible for IT governance to include managing stakeholder and executive level sponsor expectations, as well as the requirements of external governing and oversight bodies. Strategizes technological planning to achieve business goals by prioritizing technology initiatives and coordinating the evaluation, deployment, and management of current and future technologies. Provide executive leadership and technical direction to plan, direct and execute IT operations, information security, and enterprise architecture. Collaborates with other division directors, judges, and Department leaders to develop and maintain a technology plan that supports the court’s needs. Reviews hardware and software acquisitions and maintenance contracts, and pursues master agreements for products and services on an enterprise scale. Represents court IT on inter-governmental projects; promotes and oversees strategic relationships with external entities, including other county, state and local agencies, vendors, and partner organizations. Conducts research to remain knowledgeable of industry trends and emerging technologies to support new initiatives, opportunities, and information security best practices. Develops and implements IT policies and procedures, including those for design, information security, statewide disaster recovery, standard operating procedures, purchasing, and system delivery. Oversees planning, development, implementation, and ongoing support of information systems to support and enhance the operational effectiveness of the Superior Court. Determines service level requirements. Manages vendor relationships and manages assigned staff, including establishing workloads, prioritizing work, evaluating performance, enforcing policies, resolving conflicts, and administering disciplinary actions as required.
