Position Title: Compounding Prep Associate
Reporting into Title: Compounding Supervisor
Position Purpose/Summary:
The Compounding Prep Associate is responsible for operating a variety of pumps that transfer liquids, semi-solids, gases, or powdered materials from the mixing tanks to the storage tanks. The associate is also responsible for proper cleaning, sanitation and upkeep of the mixing and storage tanks and all associated equipment, hoses, clamps, pumps etc.

Position Responsibilities-Tasks-Deliverables
All duties as assigned and the following specific activities. Perform related duties and projects as assigned by management. Works directly with the Compounding Supervisor to coordinate and implement all directives in a positive and professional manner for compounding and production Safely loads, unloads, and transfers chemicals from rail cars, tankers, totes, and drums to holding tanks for production Observes pressure gauges and flow meters, and adjusts valves to regulate speed of pumps and control pressure and rate of flow of materials Maintains pumps and lines by replacing filters and gaskets, tightening connections, and adjusting pumps Collects samples of rinse water and material for lab analysis Record product temperature, quantities and/or levels in storage tanks Inventories contents of storage tanks Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of all mixing and storage tanks in accordance with all company SOP's. Follow 5s and safety policies and procedures Will be trained to operate forklift
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Number of blends transferred per shift Length of time for cleaning and sanitizing tanks Blends transferred on time for production

Qualifications
Knowledge-Skills-Abilities
Education: High School Diploma or GED
Experience: 1+ years' experience required related to using valves, piping, pumps, and processing equipment. Skilled at problem solving, decision-making, prioritizing work, organizing and getting the necessary information from relevant sources.
Technology/Software: Experience with an ERP system in a manufacturing environment a plus.
Communication: Able to read, write and speak English
Physical Capabilities
- Must be able to adapt to temperature and environmental extremes such as hot to cold, dust dirt and chemicals.
- Must be able to pass respirator fit test
- Must be able to work in outdoors environment wearing all required PPE to include face shield, goggles, respirator, gloves, and steel-toe boots.
Strength: Able to lift up to 50 lbs
Movement: Able to stand and walk for 8 or more hours Able to climb tank stairs, operate valves, pumps, and gauges
Hearing: Able to function in a semi loud environment, with frequent loud bursts of noise (such as backup siren)
Vision : Able to read measuring devices
