Assist individuals with disabilities in finding and maintaining competitive employment within the community by providing individualized support, including job development, job coaching, employer liaison, and ongoing assistance to ensure successful job integration and retention, all while respecting the individual's goals and needs. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Conducting comprehensive assessments and intake to identify individual strengths, skills, interests, and support needs to determine appropriate job placements. Identifying potential employers, building relationships with businesses, and advocating for suitable job opportunities that match the program participants abilities. Provide professional advice and help participants decide employment and training options. Provide on the job training to Service Recipients who were placed which includes intensive and follow-along. Orient each Service Recipient to his/her respective job responsibilities including work schedules, working conditions and employer rules and expectations. Arrange and assure independent travel for each placed Service Recipient. Assist in the actual performance of job tasks while reinforcing positive work habits. Communicates client's progress to the employer and support staff, including family, residential staff, caregivers and other professionals. Document all engagement activities with program participants and communications in case management system. Accurately complete billing, progress reports, and documentation on time Attend training that are required for maintaining certifications (DVRS specialize services, Employment Specialist, Crisis Management, first aid, etc.) and training to advance professional competency. Will comply with the agency's Ethical Conduct Policy. Commitment to adhering to safe and healthy practices by complying with workplace safety and health policies and procedures and reporting unsafe work conditions at job sites. QUALIFICATIONS: Above average to outstanding written, verbal communication and comprehension skills. Willingness and desire to interact and train disabled Service Recipients. Strong advocacy and excellent training and coaching skills Ability and willingness to interact with professionals, managers, employers, case managers, residential providers and families. Ability to work flexible hours, holidays and weekends when a placement requires flexibility. Ability to drive to various job sites in multiple counties. Associates Degree in Human Services or the rehabilitation field from an accredited college or high school diploma with a minimum of 3 years of related experience. Valid driver's license and driving record in good standing. Must be able to use personal vehicle as necessary. Must be able to transport Service Recipients as needed.
