General Ledger Accounting Position

American Manufacturing is looking for a general ledger accounting position that reports to the Corporate Controller. Prepare and analyze financial reports, including cost accounting and inventory management reports. Monitor and reconcile manufacturing costs, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. Collaborate with production teams to provide financial insights that enhance operational efficiency. Support monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes by preparing journal entries and account reconciliations. Assist in budget preparation and forecasting for manufacturing operations. Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend process improvements. Ensure compliance with internal controls and external regulations within the manufacturing environment. Provide ad-hoc analysis and reporting as requested by management. A successful Manufacturing Accountant should have: A strong understanding of cost accounting principles and financial analysis within the industrial/manufacturing industry. Proficiency in accounting software (ideally Oracle) and advanced Excel skills. Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Manufacturing experience. Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and leaders. What's on Offer
