ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR COMPREHENSIVE PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY PROGRAM (CPEP)

Woodhull Medical Center, an affiliate of NYU Grossman School of Medicine, is a 417-bed community hospital providing primary, specialty and acute care services to the residents of Williamsburg, Greenpoint, Bushwick, and North Brooklyn. We are seeking a full-time Associate Director who will assist the Director to oversee the Comprehensive Psychiatric Emergency Program (CPEP) within the Department of Psychiatry. Our CPEP is a state-of-the-art emergency psychiatric service. CPEP provides a spectrum of services designed to meet the needs of our diverse clientele, in the most effective and least restrictive manner possible. Reporting to the Director of CPEP, the successful candidate will oversee all clinical and administrative activities within the CPEP including the delivery of high quality and efficient patient care. Responsibilities Include: Assist the Director of CPEP in providing Clinical and Administrative oversight within CPEP including the delivery of high quality and efficient patient care Supervision of attending psychiatrists; ensuring proper medical coverage in our CPEP 24/7 Work as a team member with other clinical leaders in the department including in-patient and out-patient programs. Assist in the reviewing and revision of e guidelines for standards of care ensuring CPEP meets all OMH regulatory requirements. Assist in the development and implementation of Quality and performance improvement projects Requirements: -Licensed in the state of NY -Board Certification -3 years experience working in a CPEP environment preferred -Bilingual English & Spanish preferred NYU offers a stimulating work environment and competitive compensation package with excellent benefits.
