We are seeking a highly experienced Superintendent to lead a complex, high-profile historic renovation project in the heart of Washington, D.C. This $15M renovation of a nationally significant structure will require exceptional attention to detail, expertise in historical preservation, and strong command of large-scale MEP systems. The ideal candidate brings deep experience managing federal renovation projects, preferably with NAVFAC involvement, and is comfortable operating on high-security, historically sensitive job sites. The Superintendent - Washington D.C. - Historical will: Serve as the on-site lead for a historic renovation project in Washington, D.C., overseeing daily operations, field personnel, and subcontractors. Ensure adherence to preservation requirements, construction documents, and government/federal compliance standards. Coordinate with project managers, engineers, architects, and historic consultants to ensure timely and high-quality delivery. Manage scheduling, logistics, inspections, safety compliance, and reporting. Navigate complex MEP installations and phased renovations in a high-security environment. Maintain clear and professional communication with stakeholders while protecting the integrity of the site and project. The Superintendent - Washington D.C. - Historical will have: Minimum of 15 years of construction experience, including large-scale renovations and MEP-heavy projects. Demonstrated success in managing federal or government renovation projects, particularly with historic or mission-critical facilities. Experience working under NAVFAC or similar federal agency standards is highly preferred. Deep understanding of safety protocols, government site requirements, and historic preservation procedures. Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to manage complex site logistics and personnel. Proficiency with construction management tools and reporting systems. The Superintendent - Washington D.C. - Historical will receive: Competitive Salary: $130,000 - $170,000, commensurate with experience.
