Senior Electrical Test Technician
Insight Global's client, a Fortune 500 company, is seeking a Senior Electrical Test Technician (NETA 3 or NETA 4) to join their team in Lanham, MD. This person will be responsible for traveling to client sites to inspect, test, troubleshoot, perform start-up, and collect data on electrical systems across the DMV, including Sterling, Manassas, and Leesburg. RELO provided up to $10,000. Responsibilities include: Performing commissioning/testing at data centers, commercial buildings, and three-letter agencies Driving directly from their home to the site every day - provided a company vehicle, gas card, laptop, cell phone, company credit card, and Home Depot credit card Shift time: 6am-2pm. Up to 10-hour days sometimes Shifts from 8-10 hours is overtime Shifts over 10 hours is double time Saturdays are double time Sundays are double time Holidays are double time Travel to customer sites for inspection, testing, troubleshooting, and start-up of electrical systems Maintain, test, repair, and replace electrical equipment like switchgear, circuit breakers, and transformers Supervise and mentor trainees, assistants, and technicians Ensure consistent testing and track project completion Troubleshoot automatic transfer switches and test cable installations Calibrate and test relays, motor control centers, and generator controls Commission protection and control systems on high voltage substations Sample and interpret insulated fluids Conduct job hazard analyses, including arc-flash and shock analyses Review and submit timecards, expenses, and project reports Document test results and complete field reports Rotate emergency on-call duty and ensure regulatory compliance Selling points: Performance evaluation, merit evaluations can lead to a raise down the line Union benefits, 14% annuity (the 401K match then 14% of their salary on top of that) Company vehicle, gas card, a laptop, cell phone, company credit card, Home Depot credit card Per diem We are a company committed to creating inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
