The AdventHealth Vice President of Community Giving serves a pivotal leadership role in elevating the philanthropic efforts of a complex healthcare organization. The Vice President is over key acquisition and sustained fund development efforts to include donor acquisition, annual giving, mid-level giving, corporate giving, and grantsmanship. The Vice President has a primary objective to build a strong and renewable pipeline to support leadership giving that includes major, planned, and transformative gifts. This role is ideal for an innovative, result-driven self-starter and strategic thinker who thrives in dynamic environments, values teamwork, and is passionate about advancing healthcare philanthropy. Principal Duties and Job Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive philanthropy strategy aligned with organizational goals, focusing on donor acquisition, retention, and upgrading from individuals, corporations, and grantors to secure current revenue and to create a strong and sustainable pipeline of prospects. Set short- and long-term goals for annual giving, mid-level donors, grants, and corporate partnerships to meet and exceed revenue targets. Annual Giving: Design and implement strategies to identify and attract new donors, to elevate sustained giving, and to deepen relationships with existing donors to secure current revenue and to build a robust donor pipeline. Oversee multi-channel annual giving campaigns, ensuring innovative approaches to donor segmentation, messaging, imaging, channel utilization, and testing. Mid-Level Giving: Develop tailored strategies to engage mid-level donors and to agilely transition appropriate prospects to the leadership giving team when appropriate. Corporate Giving: Oversee a comprehensive corporate giving program that includes philanthropic gifts, grantsmanship, and sponsorship from not only vendors but also from businesses that have an interest in supporting the health care mission. Grantsmanship: Provide strategic leadership to guide the identification, cultivation, and stewardship of grants from foundations, corporations, governments, and similar funders. Ensure compelling, high-quality grant proposals that are aligned with advancing accretive needs of the organization. Ensure processes exist to ensure utilization of dollars toward funder priorities as well as appropriate measurement and reporting on grant objectives. Patient Data Integration: Utilize Protected Health Information allowable under HIPAA for fund development purposes to identify and engage prospective donors. Business Intelligence: Leverage advanced analytics, business intelligence, and Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools to identify trends, secure insights, inform priorities, measure outcomes, and provide actionable information to optimize strategy and performance. Ensure access to tools and resources to support prospect research on individuals, corporations, foundations, and other grantors. Budget Oversight: Create and work within an agreed-upon operating budget ensuring efficient use of resources to maximize revenue. Performance Management: Utilize actionable dashboards or reporting tools for sharing financial and programmatic performance with internal and external audiences. Support team accountability through clearly defined and fair metrics. Integrate benchmark comparison information from the industry and high-performing peer organizations to illuminate opportunities for program refinement. Customer Service Leadership: Create a service-oriented environment that prioritizes collaboration, responsiveness, and the success of internal teams. Internal Collaboration: Works collaboratively with Marketing, Partnership, Community Impact, Strategic Planning, and other areas of the organization to implement initiatives that align with the organization's overarching goals. Knowledge and Skills Required

Effective oral and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex information in understandable terms. Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and team members simultaneously and see projects through to completion. Aptitude for program and project evaluation and process improvement. Knowledge of rules around the compliant and ethical use of Protected Health Information for fund development purposes. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and advanced proficiency in Excel. Proficiency with data analytics and prospect research tools, vendors, and applications, such as DonorSearch, KindSight, LexisNexis, and Blackbaud ResearchPoint. Experience with Blackbaud donor data management and analytics tools. Education and Experience Required

Bachelors degree in English, Communications, Marketing, Nonprofit Management, Philanthropy, or a related field. Proven experience in a senior-level philanthropy role. 10 years experience in fund development. 5 years leading a foundation philanthropy team in a complex healthcare organization. Education and Experience Preferred

Masters degree in philanthropy, nonprofit management, marketing, communications, or a similar field preferred. CFRE, FAHP, or other fundraising certifications. Licensure, Certification or Registration Preferred
