Sleep Center Supervisor

Schedule: Full-time Shift: Days 4 days 10 hour shifts No holidays may require occasional weekend Location: 3100 East Fletcher Avenue Tampa, Florida 33613 The community youll be caring for: AdventHealth Tampa AdventHealth Tampa, a faith-based not-for-profit 626-bed tertiary-level acute care hospital located in the uptown district of Tampa, Florida, specializes in advanced cardiovascular medicine, neuroscience and neurology, digestive health, orthopedics, womens services, pediatrics, oncology, endocrinology, bariatrics, wound healing, sleep medicine and general surgery including minimally invasive and robot-assisted procedures. GME programs on the hospital campus currently include general surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, internal medicine and transitional year. AdventHealth Tampa is home to the renowned AdventHealth Pepin Heart Institute, a recognized leader in cardiovascular disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment and leading-edge research caring for Tampa Bays hearts for over 35 years. The Kiran C. Patel Research Institute, also located at AdventHealth Tampa, leads the way in clinical and academic research in the areas of neuroscience, cardiovascular medicine, advanced surgery and more contributing valuable knowledge that leads to tomorrows cures for conditions such as heart failure, cancer and other diseases. The role youll contribute: The sleep center clinical supervisor works under the general supervision of the medical director and Director of Sleep Services to provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders including in and out of sleep center testing, diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, comprehensive patient care and direct patient education. In addition to proficiency in all competencies related to sleep technology, the sleep clinical supervisor participates with clinical evaluation, diagnostic and therapeutic testing, home therapy, patient education and compliance management. Education and management of patients with sleep disorders requires understanding of the multifaceted disease processes that affect both sleep and wakefulness. The sleep clinical supervisor is credentialed in sleep technology, able to provide oversight of other sleep center staff and is able to interact with physicians and other health care providers in a professional manner. The value youll bring to the team: Evaluation and management of sleep disorders. Maintain proficiency in the domains of practice of the sleep technologist. Comply with applicable laws, regulation, guidelines and standards regarding safety and infection control. Perform database management. Adhere to the sleep center policies related to quality assurance and clinical procedures. Provide professional and administrative direction and supervision of and accountability to the organization and respect to all professional and clinical services provided. Qualifications The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed: Associate Required. Technical/Vocational School Required. Registered Polysomnography Technologist (RPSGT) Required.
