Description

The Maintenance Manager manages, coordinates and directs the inspections, repairs and maintenance on managed and program aircraft, in accordance with FAA regulations, owner needs, and company standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

1. Schedules and coordinates Maintenance activities. Reviews scope of maintenance projects, develops timeline for completion, and ensures outside assistance is available as needed. Establishes schedules for periodic inspections, general overhaul, repairs and modifications and coordinates aircraft downtime with scheduling department for minimal interruption. Ensures work is properly completed on schedule. Enforces company safety policies and procedures. As time allows, works on aircraft and troubleshoots to benefit projects with experience and expertise. Prioritizes maintenance request

2.Maintains compliance with FAA and company policies Obtains all appropriate FAA approvals for repairs and modifications. Ensures all maintenance repairs and mods are completed in accordance with the aircraft manufacturer's guidelines and FAA regulations. Ensures maintenance records are maintained, in accordance with FAA regulations. Expedites completion of work, parts purchases, repair orders, and approves purchases invoices upon review. Ensures materials meet FAA and company requirements. Reviews all log book entries.

3. Responsible for training and developing team members in skills, safety, organization/cleanliness, and quality customer service Provides training and assistance for team members as needed for specific skills, including on the job training. Works with the team to develop and implement faster, more efficient ways to perform work processes. Ensures that team members maintain clean, orderly work areas that present a professional appearance. Ensures that the team maintains a professional appearance adhering to company dress code. Ensures that the aircraft is properly protected and that proper procedures are in place and followed to eliminate errors and incidents. Responsible for evaluating team members in a timely manner with adequate documentation to justify rating.

4. Controls cost Evaluates cost effectiveness of maintenance procedures. Selects parts, components, and supplies. Prepares budget and analyzes variances throughout the year.

5. Maintains aircraft owner confidence Responsive to aircraft owner needs. Follows up on pilot squawks in a timely manner.

Qualifications

Qualified candidates will have 8+ years as an A&P Mechanic with 5 years of of maintenance lead experience. Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
