70% operational support / 30% project work
Role Overview We are seeking a
Systems Administrator
to support enterprise content management, publishing, and engineering systems in a manufacturing environment. This role blends
hands-on system administration and troubleshooting
with
project-based work , including system upgrades, integrations, and data migrations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically curious, and comfortable working across multiple systems and vendors.
Key Responsibilities System Administration & User Support Manage
user accounts, permissions, and access
across multiple systems Support platforms such as
Windchill, Parts Publisher, Arbortext Editor, WorldServer, Language Weaver, WebView/Customer Portal, Titania, and LinkOne Perform
Tier 1 troubleshooting
for access issues, publishing errors, downloads, searches, and system connectivity Handle
license management , including procurement, renewals, payments, and vendor contract updates Create and manage internal and external
support tickets
and follow through to resolution
Project & Upgrade Support Support major system initiatives including
Windchill upgrades, system consolidations, and conversion projects Coordinate system downtime with users and vendors Assist with
testing, UAT, validation, and documentation
for upgrades and enhancements Support publishing tools and workflows, including
new language support and translation testing Assist with
data migrations, content conversions, and system integrations
Vendor & Stakeholder Management Act as a point of contact for vendors such as
PTC, RWS, Hitachi, Oberon , and others Manage vendor communications, tickets, documentation, and onboarding materials Support compliance documentation including
MSAs, SSO templates, and forms
Reporting & Documentation Generate and maintain
system usage reports, user analytics, and performance metrics Maintain system metadata, configurations, and publishing rules Create and update
user guides, documentation, and process instructions
Required Qualifications 35 years of Systems Administrator experience
or similar IT support role Experience with
user management, system configuration, licensing, and troubleshooting Strong ability to
research issues, document findings, and resolve problems independently Experience creating and managing
support tickets
and working with vendors Comfortable supporting
multiple enterprise systems simultaneously Strong communication and organizational skills
Preferred Experience Experience supporting
PLM, CMS, publishing, or content management systems Familiarity with
Windchill or similar enterprise platforms Experience supporting
system upgrades, migrations, or integrations Exposure to
manufacturing or engineering environments
Work Environment & Fit Hybrid-onsite role requiring
4 days per week on-site in Milwaukee, WI Best suited for someone who enjoys
hands-on system support , troubleshooting, and project coordination Ideal for candidates comfortable working across IT, engineering, publishing, and vendor teams
