Title: IT Director
Location: San Francisco Bay Area
Growing investment firm is in need of an IT Sr. Manager/Director to own IT functions at the firm, enhance IT Security needs, provide white glove executive support services, enhance support partnership with the local MSP, as well as to partner with Analytics to drive AI enhancements firm wide. Ideal candidate will have a decade of experience in IT Leadership, with a minimum of two years of that within a Financial or Investment organization.
Responsibilities:
Develop the IT strategy, systems roadmaps, technical architecture, and the resulting IT programs with the business and senior management, supporting and enabling the continued rapid growth, scalability and evolving operational needs
Manage network performance including protection against viruses and other threats. Establish and maintain network users, user environment, directories, and security
Respond to the needs and questions of network users concerning their access to resources on the network and the operation of various software programs
Additional security ownership and risk management responsibilities include: identity & access management (IAM) design and approvals, internal security awareness training program, security monitoring oversight and escalation owner, etc.
Work with CCO on ensuring document retention obligations are met
Act as the single point of leadership for MSP oversight. Run quarterly business reviews with MSP and escalate issues effectively. Manages MSP overseeing deployment of new laptops and other IT equipment to all new hires, manages IT onboarding and offboarding
Manages all existing IT systems, including MS Office/Office 365, CRM tool, file storage system, and cybersecurity tools; Ensure equipment and software remains up-to-date and operating in a highly efficient manner
Oversee the development, design, and implementation of new applications and changes to existing computer systems and software packages
Works with third-party suppliers/vendors to deliver cost effective sourcing of services and deliver innovation and opportunities through effective product evaluation and selection to match the needs
Support Head of Data & Technology in managing Data, Engineering, AI tooling and IT budget and negotiating renewals, including own license management, procurement, and renewals, build and track the IT budget, evaluate ROI for new systems, etc.
Assist Head of Data & Technology with various data requests, including reviewing role permissions, data management, and supporting connections across multiple systems such as Airflow, GCP, GitHub, Snowflake, and BI tools
Requirements:
B.S. Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related field
10+ years IT experience with 2+ years experience in managing the IT function / MSP at financial institution
Solid experience in cybersecurity, compliance, and risk in financial services
Experience working at international organization and supporting in-office and remote employees
Strong project/program management skills with a track record of successful delivery across stakeholders; Ability to manage multiple projects/tasks/initiatives
