Location: DeKalb, IL Shift: 2nd Shift | 2:30 PM 11:30 PM (Overtime as needed) We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to lead operations at a sealant manufacturing facility in DeKalb, IL. This role is ideal for hands-on manufacturing professionals who enjoy leading teams, working with mixing and production equipment, and keeping operations running safely, efficiently, and on schedule. You will oversee daily sealant production activities, ensure products are manufactured to established formulas and quality standards, and lead a skilled production team with a strong focus on safety and continuous improvement. Competitive hourly pay ~ Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance ~ Short & Long-Term Disability ~ Paid Holidays, Personal Time, and Sick Leave ~ Supervise day-to-day sealant manufacturing operations Coach, train, and develop production team members Promote a strong safety culture and support a Target Zero (incident-free) work environment Mix raw materials according to batch instructions and engineering specifications Lead daily production and shift meetings Perform root cause analysis and address production or quality issues Conduct performance evaluations and support employee development Maintain quality standards for packaging, labeling, palletizing, handling, and storage Coordinate with purchasing to ensure adequate materials and supplies Perform weekly inventory cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy Control department costs including labor, overtime, scrap, and supplies Manage asphalt storage tank levels and coordinate inbound/outbound tanker scheduling High School Diploma or GED required Minimum 5 years of production supervisory experience in a manufacturing or plant environment Experience in chemical, sealant, asphalt, or batch manufacturing preferred Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Quality, or Continuous Improvement experience a plus Computer proficiency including email, Microsoft Word, Excel, and other business systems Must be able to work 2nd shift (3:00 PM 11:30 PM) with flexibility for overtime based on production needs If you are a skilled production leader who values safety, quality, and teamwork, this is a great opportunity to grow your career in a stable manufacturing environment.
