This opportunity begins Jan 6, 2026, and features 10-hour day shifts from 7am to 5pm with no call. The assignment spans select dates from January through June, offering a dynamic schedule in a specialized hospital environment.Job DetailsLocation: CaliforniaStart Date: Jan 6, 2026LOA: 90 daysProvider Type Needed: Critical Care Nurse PractitionerSchedule: 10-hour day shifts, 7am-5pm, no call; coverage includes Jan 6-29, Feb 3-25, Mar 3-4, Mar 9-18, Mar 23-29, Apr 7-12, Apr 20-26, May 4-13, May 18-27, Jun 1-7, Jun 15-21, Jun 29 onwardResponsibilities and DutiesProvide neuro trauma and critical care management for hospitalized patientsPerform low to moderate risk procedures, including laceration repair, IV access/insertion (peripheral line), and fracture/dislocation reductions (minimal to moderate displacement)Conduct high risk procedures such as G-tube placement, endotracheal intubation, cardioversion/defibrillation, LMA, paracentesis, chest tube insertion, and central/arterial line placementCollaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomesDocument all care provided in compliance with hospital protocolsMaintain a high standard of patient safety and quality careAdditional InformationActive California NP license and DEA requiredBoard certification in Critical Care Medicine (ANCC/AANP) requiredAdvanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required; Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) preferred but not mandatoryClean malpractice history requiredThe role does not include surgical assistanceAvailability for all scheduled dates at time of name clear is requiredSubstantial experience in neurosurgery and/or neurocritical care preferredBenefitsStrong compensationTravel-related expenses coveredA-rated medical malpractice insurance providedDedicated recruiter for future travel opportunitiesWhat are Locum Tenens Jobs?Locum tenens jobs, sometimes referred to as travel assignments, are contract positions that help meet patient care needs at various healthcare facilities and hospitals for a defined period.
