Responsibilities

Under the general direction of the Pharmacy Clinical Manager, develop, implement, and maintain clinical pharmacy services at the designated practice site.

Plan, organize, execute, and monitor clinical pharmacy services designed to improve patient care while effectively utilizing resources.

Coordinate activities and responsibilities of the pharmacy department to ensure clinical services meet the requirements of the patient population and community served.

Maintain appropriate documentation of clinical activities for pharmacy management and hospital accreditation.

Conduct clinical practice, such as facilitating verbal and written pharmacotherapy and pharmacokinetic consultations with physicians and other healthcare providers.

Assist with nutritional support consultations with physicians, dietitians, and other healthcare providers, as applicable.

Engage in continuous professional development related to clinical practice.

Qualifications

Education/Training:

Pharmacy degree (Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy) required.

Licensure/Certification:

Must be licensed as a pharmacist by the Florida Board of Pharmacy or obtain license within 4 months of hire.

Experience:

Meet at least one of the following:

Two years completion of an ASHP‑accredited residency or fellowship in a specialty area consistent with practice needs.

One year completion of an ASHP‑accredited residency plus specialty practice experience (1+ years) consistent with practice needs.

Five years of clinical pharmacy experience consistent with practice needs.
