as an Associate Director, Communications in our Finance, Strategy & Growth team. Drive reputation building and business results through strategic communication across financial media, investors, and internal stakeholders.
About The Role
Planning and Execution:
Develop and implement communication plans that highlight Novartis growth strategy and performance to the financial community on deal announcements and quarterly earnings.
Conduct research using traditional and AI tools to understand key audiences.
Write materials and align messaging with Finance, Strategy & Growth, and Corporate Affairs.
Support budget planning, tracking and vendor management.
External and Internal Communications:
Support media relations and storytelling for financial media and business development.
Assist with deal announcements, earnings, and media pitching.
Maintain media operations infrastructure including materials, distribution, vendor management.
Coordinate responses to media inquiries.
Align internal communications around purpose, strategy and objectives.
Lead execution of executive appearances, talks, and interviews.
Insights & Strategy:
Track media perception and stakeholder sentiment.
Apply predictive mindset and iterative experimentation.
Monitor media sentiment, social media engagement, KPI.
Use data and insights to inform messaging.
Project & Vendor Management:
Coordinate logistics, vendor management, budget planning and tracking.
Essential Requirements
Bachelor’s degree required.
7+ years in communications, with finance and business development focus.
Proficiency in social media strategy and execution.
Analytical skills for data‑driven decisions.
Tech‑savvy: AI tools, Notified, Meltwater, Commetric, ChatGPT.
Desirable Requirements
Degree in Communications, PR, Journalism or related field; advanced degree a plus.
Experience contributing to financial and M&A communication strategies.
Experience with financial communications or M&A.
Crisis and issues management expertise.
Benefits & Rewards Salary range: $126,000 – $234,000 per year, plus performance‑based cash incentive, eligibility for equity awards. Benefits include health, life, disability, 401(k) matching, generous time off.
