Vice President / Executive Director of Clinical Operations The Vice President / Executive Director of Clinical Operations will provide strategic leadership and oversight for all clinical operations functions, including clinical trial management, supplies and laboratory logistics, and vendor selection and oversight. This role is responsible for ensuring the successful execution of clinical programs within established quality, timeline, resource, and budget parameters. The candidate will develop and optimize clinical trial processes, define and monitor key performance indicators, and drive cross-functional alignment to support integrated development plans and study protocols. This position requires close collaboration with internal stakeholders and global teams to ensure strategic and operational excellence across all clinical development activities.

Responsibilities

Serve as the senior representative for Clinical Operations, providing strategic updates and insights to the Executive Committee, Project Teams, and other key stakeholders.

Lead, mentor, and develop Clinical Operations team members to foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and operational excellence.

Oversight, plan, and implement quality oversight activities for all clinical programs to ensure compliance with SOPs, ICH‑GCP guidelines, regulatory requirements, and patient safety standards.

Manage clinical budgets effectively, identifying cost‑saving opportunities and driving operational efficiencies to support timely study initiation and execution.

Guide Clinical Operations and Data Analytics teams in inspection readiness, cultivating a proactive approach to regulatory audits and compliance.

Partner with Quality Assurance and global teams to develop, review, and maintain up‑to‑date clinical SOPs and best practices.

Oversee the development of operational sections of study protocols and investigator brochures, and lead the identification, engagement, and oversight of investigative sites and investigators to ensure successful trial execution.

Qualifications

Minimum degree requirement of a Bachelor’s Degree (BA / BS) in a scientific or health care discipline preferred.

15 - 20+ years of experience

CRO oversight experience required

Clinical data management experience is a plus

Ability to travel as necessary
