Job Summary As the Global M&Q Senior Director, Tech, you will advance the Digital Lab of the Future, encompassing Lab Information Management, Lab Execution, autonomous labs, Process PLM, and the Digital agenda within Technical Services and Manufacturing Sciences. You will provide strategic leadership, establish governance, lead transformation initiatives, and collaborate with QC and TSMS teams to deliver digital transformation programs.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the digital lab portfolio and set governance for Digital Quality Labs across the organization.
Drive transformation initiatives to digitalize laboratories and implement emerging technologies.
Collaborate with QC and TSMS peers to deliver MQ digital transformation programs in QC Operations and TSMS.
Guide and mentor the Tech team and its resources.

Deep knowledge of Lab Council processes, QC equipment, automation, Method development, and validation.
Agile mindset for the entire lifecycle.
Experience in vendor, resource, and third‑party management.
Coach and mentor team members.
What You Should Bring
Experience with Manufacturing Sciences, Digital Tech Transfer, quality digital lab processes, Lab Data Integration, technology standardization, and lab automation.
Good Manufacturing and Laboratory Practices with computer system validation experience.
Understanding of eRelease, Sample Management, tracking, method development and standardization.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience with modern cloud‑based solutions and AI.
Preferred Experience
Labvantage LIMS and LES, NuGenesis, EMPOWER, BINOCS, IoT edge, QBDVision PLM.
Lab automation systems, instrument integrations, development, or support.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related field.
Minimum 7+ years in IT leadership roles, focusing on quality and manufacturing strategy.
7+ years of leadership experience delivering enterprise IT platforms in a highly regulated industry.
Additional Preferences
Negotiation skills to drive consensus across complex stakeholder groups.
Passion for diverse teams and geographies.
Agile ways of working and product framework experience.
Fully onsite at Eli Lilly’s corporate office in Indiana.

Compensation and Benefits Actual compensation will depend on education, experience, skills and geographic location. Anticipated wage range: $157,500 – $231,000.
