Security Officer - Tech/Media Alarm Monitor
in
San Jose, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom. You will work part‑time as part of a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. In this role you monitor and patrol assigned areas, deter security‑related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication.
Position Type Part Time
Pay Rate $22.67 / Hour
Job Schedule Saturday 03:00 PM – 11:00 PM Sunday 03:00 PM – 11:00 PM

What You'll Do
Provide customer service by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and in a problem‑solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter.
Minimum Requirements
At least one year of security‑related experience.
Alarm panel experience is preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred.
State, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
Access control or badge experience is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Background investigation required in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
Drug screen required to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
