A leading, technology-driven trading organization is building out a
next-generation financial operations function
and is hiring a
Financial Operations & PnL Analyst
to help design, scale, and own critical post-trade and reporting processes.
This is a high-impact role for someone who enjoys working close to the business, digging into complex data, strengthening controls, and improving how financial results are produced and explained in a fast-moving trading environment.
What You’ll Be Doing
Review and reconcile daily and monthly profit & loss across multiple trading activities
Investigate and resolve reconciliation breaks, variances, and unexplained movements
Partner with trading, treasury, finance, tax, clearing, and technology teams to support accurate financial reporting
Act as a key contributor to the buildout and enhancement of PnL and reconciliation frameworks
Translate operational and reporting needs into clear business requirements for system and process improvements
Work with internal and external counterparties (e.g., brokers, custodians, clearing entities) as needed
Identify inefficiencies, control gaps, or risks and help implement scalable solutions
Assist in developing written procedures, controls, and documentation
Support special projects tied to infrastructure development, automation, and operational optimization
What We’re Looking For
5+ years
of experience in financial operations, trade support, reconciliations, or accounting within a trading or financial services environment
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field
Strong understanding of at least one asset class lifecycle (e.g., equities, futures, FX, options, fixed income, or derivatives)
Proven experience working with large, complex datasets and investigating discrepancies
Controls-focused mindset with an emphasis on accuracy, risk mitigation, and process integrity
Demonstrated ability to partner with technology teams to improve systems and workflows
Strong project management and analytical skills
Clear, confident communicator able to work cross-functionally and globally
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable operating with limited direction
