The Investment Associate provides administrative support to a growing team of internal financial planning and portfolio management professionals. Persons in this role serve as a point of contact for several client relationships, providing administrative, funds movement, and other servicing responsibilities. The Investment Associate works closely with WPC Portfolio Managers in maintaining client relationships and supporting business development efforts, and participates in certain company initiatives. Additionally, this individual supports the financial planning team in inputting client information and helps develop comprehensive financial plans. What You’ll Do
Supporting Senior Portfolio Managers
Assist in managing investment portfolios that are properly aligned with the client’s investment objectives in accordance with the investment policy statement. Meet with internal partners and clients to review client objectives and assist in deploying appropriate portfolio‑management strategies specific to client goals, risk tolerances and time horizon. Support portfolio managers in adhering to the firm’s investment‑policy guidelines, asset‑allocation models, and approved securities lists. Stay current on economic and capital‑market information. Prepare client‑meeting materials and reports for portfolio managers. Gain expertise in LPL Client Works, Black Diamond, and APX systems. Gain understanding of and learn to articulate the firm’s multi‑asset‑strategy investment approach, asset allocation, investment process, and portfolio construction methodology. Supporting Wealth Planners
Assist with inputting client data into eMoney software and work to build out comprehensive financial plans. Assist senior wealth planners in delivering plans. Collaborate with clients to link external and internal financial accounts. Leverage eMoney vault for client document storage. Collect financial statement information from clients and prospects. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. 0‑3 years of related experience. Understands fundamental concepts. Benefits
