We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented
Senior Test Engineer
to spearhead the creation and execution of comprehensive test documentation, simulation scripts, and validation strategies. This role will be instrumental in ensuring the reliability, functionality, and security of system updates, configurations, and deployments. The Senior Test Engineer will play a key role in developing robust processes for thorough validation.
Program Overview: The Resilient Missile Warning and Missile Tracking (RMWT) Ground Management and Integration (GMI) program will support the management and integration of ground system capabilities for missile tracking satellites. This includes the development of a primary MEO Satellite Operations Center (MSOC) and Ground Entry Points (GEPs) to facilitate the operations of missile tracking satellites.
Responsibilities
Test Strategy Development
Develop and implement overall testing strategies, frameworks, and methodologies for system updates, patches, and integrations.
Define testing standards, best practices, and processes for the team.
Documentation Creation
Author detailed and well-structured test documentation, including test plans, test cases, test scripts, and test reports.
Maintain and update testing documentation as systems evolve to ensure alignment with organizational requirements.
Simulation Design
Develop simulation scripts to replicate production scenarios, including user behavior, workloads, and potential failure points.
Script automated test scenarios for functional, integration, regression, and performance testing.
Testing Execution and Management
Oversee test execution cycles, track performance, document results, and identify root causes of issues.
Work closely with developers, security teams, and stakeholders to resolve defects during the testing phase.
Leadership and Collaboration
Lead a team of testers, ensuring effective collaboration, clear communication, and alignment of priorities.
Act as the primary point of contact for testing practices and issues across departments.
Data Analysis and Reporting
Analyze test results and metrics to identify trends, bottlenecks, and improvements.
Provide clear and actionable reports for stakeholders, summarizing outcomes and recommendations.
Continuous Improvement
Continuously refine testing automation, processes, and methodologies to enhance system reliability and efficiency.
Qualifications
Active TS/SCI clearance
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field.
5+ years of experience in software testing, quality assurance, or a similar role, including leadership responsibilities.
Proficiency in developing detailed test plans and automated simulation scripts.
Strong experience with testing frameworks and tools.
Familiarity with sandbox environments and configurations for testing purposes.
Solid background in scripting and programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, Shell).
Comprehensive understanding of Agile and DevSecOps principles.
Exceptional leadership, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret test data and recognize patterns.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Skills
Experience with Agile frameworks and modern toolchains (Git, Jira, Confluence).
Knowledge of digital engineering principles, version control for models, and model governance.
Familiarity with DevSecOps principles.
Target salary range: $120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
