As the CMS Account Lead, you’ll play a pivotal leadership role within Slalom’s Federal Market. You’ll be part of a mission‑driven team helping the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and its operating divisions achieve transformative outcomes that improve the nation’s health, strengthen data‑driven decision‑making, and modernize the digital health experience.

We’re seeking a strategic, growth‑oriented, and technology‑savvy leader who thrives at the intersection of healthcare mission enablement and digital innovation—someone who understands both federal health IT dynamics and modern technology transformation (cloud, data, artificial intelligence, and CRM modernization).

What You’ll Do Account Leadership & Growth

Lead the CMS account strategy, overseeing business growth and client relationships across CMS program areas (CMMI, CMCS, CCSQ, OIT, etc.).

Serve as the primary Slalom leader and trusted advisor to senior CMS executives, with deep understanding of mission priorities and modernization objectives.

Identify, shape, and capture new opportunities that align with Slalom’s strengths in data modernization, AI/ML, cloud, and digital services.

Develop and execute account growth plans, including capture and proposal strategies in collaboration with business development and alliance partners (AWS, Salesforce, Google Cloud, Snowflake, etc.).

Drive revenue, pipeline, and delivery excellence targets while maintaining exceptional client satisfaction and retention.

Client Impact & Delivery Excellence

Oversee delivery across CMS engagements, ensuring technical excellence, compliance, and alignment with mission outcomes.

Translate CMS mission challenges—such as data interoperability, quality measurement, and healthcare innovation—into modern, technology‑enabled solutions.

Lead account governance, performance management, and risk mitigation to ensure consistent client value delivery.

People Leadership & Collaboration

Build, mentor, and inspire high‑performing teams that deliver client impact and live Slalom’s values.

Foster a culture of curiosity, accountability, and continuous learning within the CMS team.

Partner across Slalom markets and capabilities to bring integrated solutions that combine strategy, technology, and human‑centered design.

What You’ll Bring Required Qualifications

10–15+ years of progressive leadership experience in federal consulting or health IT, with demonstrated success supporting CMS or other HHS operating divisions.

Deep familiarity with CMS program areas such as Medicare, Medicaid, Innovation (CMMI), or Quality (CCSQ).

Proven record of federal capture management, proposal leadership, and account growth within complex government environments.

Strong understanding of federal acquisition processes and contracting mechanisms (FAR, IDIQ, BPA, GSA, etc.).

Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams across capture, solutioning, and delivery.

Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills across government, industry, and alliance partners.

Experience delivering technology transformation programs involving data platforms, analytics, cloud architecture, or CRM modernization.

Desired / Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with health data and AI service offerings, including:

Data strategy, governance, and interoperability within CMS or related agencies.

Cloud‑native architectures supporting secure data sharing and compliance.

Experience with Salesforce public sector and health solutions, including:

Case management, provider engagement, and constituent services.

Salesforce Government Cloud and integration with federal health systems.

Certifications such as Salesforce Certified Professional, AWS/Azure, or PMP a plus.

Prior experience leading capture or delivery within a federal consulting firm, health systems integrator, or HHS‑focused contractor.

Active Public Trust or higher clearance preferred.
