Job Description
You are an Integration Tax Manager in the Compliance & Reporting function within the Global Tax Organization servicing all business segments of Mars Incorporated. As a leader on the Global Tax Integration team, you lead the development and implementation of global tax integration strategy and framework. Together with the team, you are responsible for overseeing and managing the tax integration process post mergers and acquisitions while continuing to offer quality support to the business. You leverage your tax technical knowledge, collaborate with stakeholders to optimize tax integration as well as mitigate risks.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance from an accredited university required
Master’s degree in taxation encouraged
Certified Public Accountant license or Enrolled Agent license encouraged
5+ years of corporate tax experience, including Federal, state, and international tax, with some public accounting experience preferred
Large corporate multinational tax environment experience in financial statement accounting, federal and state U.S. income tax compliance, tax accounting methods, and tax planning; CPG/Food/Beverage is nice to have
Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to execute complex initiatives from initiation to completion
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across functional teams and influence stakeholders
Experience in a leadership or managerial role preferred, with demonstrated ability to develop processes and team members
Experience working within a team environment, including with teams in various geographic locations
Experience in tax reporting systems (ONESOURCE Income Tax and Provision and Dataflow) with implementation experience preferred
Experience in data analytics systems (Alteryx, Power Query, Power BI, Tableau) preferred
Key Responsibilities
Lead in developing and implementing global tax integration strategy and framework
Communicate with senior management and business integration team on tax integration progress and issues
Serve as the primary liaison with global In-Country-Tax and Treasury Centres (ICTCs) in coordinating, developing and executing the tax operations transition and integration, including compliance and reporting, transfer pricing, controversy, tax planning and indirect tax
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of tax integration efforts
Identify opportunities for tax savings or efficiencies during the integration process
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including finance, legal and IT to ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations during the integration
Evaluate existing tax systems, processes, historical tax filing positions and data to identify risk and opportunities
Coordinate and assist in the implementation of tax data migration, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with regulatory and company requirements
Continuously develop and deliver onboarding materials to educate internal and external stakeholders on Mars tax policy, operation processes, tools, and best practices
Maintain and adapt documentation of tax integration processes, procedures, and controls to support compliance and audit requirements
Build relationships, nurture team member strengths and identify areas for improvement, and represent and advocate for tax team needs

Compensation and Benefits The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is USD 133,067.00 – USD 182,958.00. Total compensation will include variable pay, medical and dental benefits, participation in a 401(k) plan, and paid time off benefits.
