Base Pay Range:
$140.00/yr – $200.00/yr
Overview We are seeking a Senior Manager, Finance Data Design to lead the strategic design and delivery of enterprise finance data architecture within a large, complex, global organization. This role will play a critical part in enabling financial planning, management reporting, and advanced analytics through scalable, high-quality data solutions. This is a people‑leadership role requiring strong technical depth, business acumen, and the ability to partner with senior stakeholders across Finance, Technology, and Enterprise Planning.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the finance data design strategy to support enterprise‑wide planning, reporting, and analytics initiatives
Translate complex financial and operational business processes into scalable, sustainable data models
Provide strategic guidance across multiple workstreams to ensure end‑to‑end architectural alignment
Identify risks, communicate impacts, and drive mitigation strategies clearly and proactively
Lead and develop a team of business data architects, engineers, analysts, and consultants
Foster a high‑performance, collaborative culture focused on innovation, quality, and continuous improvement
Ensure strong talent development and succession planning across the data organization
Own business data models supporting Commercial, Supply Chain, IBP, and Enterprise Planning & Analytics platforms
Conduct data fit‑gap assessments for deployments and ensure alignment between data sources and business processes
Develop and maintain Data Design Documents (DDD) to capture decisions and support long‑term run‑state operations
Partner with Data Governance teams to enforce standards, data quality, and best practices
Oversee smooth transition of deployed models into run‑state ownership with full documentation and knowledge transfer
Act as a trusted advisor to run teams, supporting continuous improvement initiatives
Collaborate with data validation teams throughout testing, simulations, and production readiness
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree required (Finance or IT preferred)
8+ years of experience, including 5+ years in data modeling, data warehousing, or relational database design
Proven experience managing and developing direct reports
Experience with tools such as SAP Finance, BW, Tableau, Alteryx, MDM, or similar platforms
Extensive experience with Financial Planning & EPM tools (e.g., Anaplan or comparable platforms)
Demonstrated ability to design and deliver data solutions in a large, matrixed enterprise environment
Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non‑technical audiences
Experience enforcing governance, best practices, and data quality standards
Comfortable operating in ambiguity with a collaborative, team‑oriented mindset
Project management or large‑scale implementation experience preferred
