The Wake Forest Health Network Neurosurgery - High Point practice is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Physician Assistant (PA) to join our dynamic, community-based neurosurgery team in High Point, North Carolina. This role offers an opportunity to work alongside experienced neurosurgeons, providing care to patients with a wide range of neurological conditions, including spine disorders, brain injuries, and complex neurosurgical cases. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical expertise, a commitment to patient-centered care, and the ability to work collaboratively in both outpatient and inpatient settings. Responsibilities
As a valued member of our healthcare team, the PA will play a key role in team-focused patient care, conducting thorough examinations and evaluations in medical/surgical settings. Use medical decision-making skills to determine appropriate patient care plans. Collaborate with the medical team for effective team-based care. Order and interpret laboratory studies and diagnostic procedures. Explain the necessity, preparation, nature and anticipated effects of scheduled diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to the patient. Perform procedural skills per department or practice guidelines. Participate in basic science and clinical research projects. Precept students and/or medical learners when appropriate. Uphold AHWFB missions, values, and cultural commitment. Perform other duties incidental to the work described herein. Physician Assistant Requirements
Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant Program; Master's Degree preferred Current North Carolina Medical Board Medical License, Certified by NCCPA Current American Heart Association or Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) required to start Current Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) and Department of Public Safety (DPS) registration required to start What We Have To Offer
