Overview JSI is seeking an experienced and driven
Sales Director
who will be responsible for expanding services to JSI’s and new and existing clients across the US. The Sales Director will oversee a U.S. territory and report directly to the Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) of JSI. The individual will leverage JSI’s extensive portfolio—regulatory, financial, business, and engineering services—to cross‑sell to our established client base and acquire new customers in the broadband provider space.
Responsibilities
Drive Sales Growth: Actively sell JSI’s full suite of broadband consulting services to broadband carriers across the United States.
Client Expansion: Cross‑sell services to existing clients—over 1000 nationwide—by identifying unmet needs and positioning JSI’s value.
New Business Development: Cultivate new client relationships, particularly with rural broadband service providers, and guide them through JSI’s strategic fiber consulting solutions.
Market Presence: Represent JSI at industry events and regional association conferences across the Southeast. Build thought leadership and expand brand awareness.
Strategic Sales Planning: Build and manage a healthy pipeline using JSI’s CRM. Document activities, events, and travel in accordance with internal reporting standards.
Collaborative Engagement: Work closely with JSI’s internal subject matter experts—regulatory, engineering, and financial consultants—to develop client‑specific strategies.
Government Funding Expertise: Demonstrate a deep understanding of rural broadband carriers’ relationships with various government branches for funding (e.g., BEAD). Assist clients throughout the strategic, financial, and execution journey.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required.
10+ years of experience selling to broadband providers, especially in rural or underserved markets.
Proven success in consultative sales, particularly in fiber infrastructure, dark fiber design, or broadband consulting.
Strong interpersonal skills with a client‑first mindset.
Experience with CRM tools and disciplined pipeline management.
Willingness to travel 50% of the time.
Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced and dynamic environment.
