Responsibilities
EMCS Manager monitors and performs diagnostic troubleshooting of program issues associated with Niagara AX / N4, Triduim platform, and Distech controls.
Ensures the Technicians perform day-to-day troubleshooting of system disturbances and corrections of EMCS-related trouble calls and alarms.
Collaborates with Maintenance Managers and HVAC crafts to solve HVAC/Mechanical issues utilizing EMCS.
Ensures the EMCS technicians analyze and upload EMCS security patches when available and required by JPL.
Runs daily and weekly EMCS reports to ensure system alarm management and configurations meet JPL contract requirements.
Is directly responsible for fulfilling all JPL requirements associated with Bizzell’s EMCS operational plans and procedures.
Reviews and sign-offs on EMCS project acceptance, testing, and project close‑out documents.
Ensures all EMCS preventive maintenance is completed on time and in accordance with the JPL TDD.
Assures that all EMCS upgrades/repairs are properly implemented and documented.
Ensures that all console alarms are acknowledged and addressed in accordance with all JPL contract requirements.
Responsible for and facilitates the weekly JPL/EGS EMCS meeting.
Identify and report deficiencies or anomalies noted within the EMCS system.
Maintains effective communications with the EGS team and JPL customers.
Runs EMCS reports when requested and makes system configurations when requested.
Responsible for the completion of all EMCS‑assigned RCAs and corrective actions.
Work with the MRO group to specify and provide vendor quotes, and information for material and components requested.
Maintains awareness of new and emerging EMCS technologies.
Perform all other duties as assigned to meet customer‑critical missions.

Key Qualifications
Ability to resolve complex EMCS issues requiring analysis, evaluation, and interpretation.
Thorough understanding of electrical and mechanical systems.
Knowledge of maintenance practices, procedures, work methods, materials, equipment, and tools to operate and maintain the system.
Must have DISTECH 6601 or 6602 certification.
Proficiency with computer office operations, work order applications, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills. Ability to multi‑task, be organized, pay attention to detail, be dependable, and be a team player.
Flexibility to work alternate schedules as necessary.
Ability to read and write in English.
Valid California driver’s license and real ID.
U.S. Citizen.
Education and Experience
The EMCS Manager must have hands‑on HVAC/Controls experience, including troubleshooting and repairs.
Minimum of 10 years of experience as an engineer technician, supervisor, or manager; experience preferred within a BMS/BAS or EMCS environment with at least 5 years of experience with Niagara N4, Distech, and BacNet.
Certifications in Niagara N4, TCP, and Distech 6601 or 6602 are required.
Preferred
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or a similar technical degree.
Physical Requirements Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
