About the Brand Partnerships Lead at Headspace
The Partnerships team at Headspace is dedicated to expanding our mission of improving the health and happiness of the world by collaborating with leading brands and organizations. We build strategic, meaningful partnerships that bring mindfulness and mental well‑being to new audiences through innovative campaigns, content integrations, and long‑term brand collaborations. Our team combines creativity, relationship building, and a deep understanding of the Headspace brand to deliver high‑impact initiatives that drive both business growth and real‑world impact.
What you will do Strategy & Market Development
Support the development of brand partnership strategy and lead execution across select priority areas in alignment with Headspace’s business goals.
Identify and prioritize partnership categories — including lifestyle, entertainment, media, and consumer brands — that strengthen Headspace’s cultural relevance and reach.
Develop frameworks for evaluating partnership opportunities through brand impact, audience growth, and ROI.
Monitor market and cultural trends to uncover new collaboration opportunities.
Partnership Development & Execution
Lead end‑to‑end partnership development — from sourcing and pitching to structuring and negotiation.
Collaborate with partners to co‑create integrated marketing campaigns, co‑branded content, and experiential activations that tell shared brand stories.
Partner with internal teams to bring partnerships to life across owned and earned channels (e.g., app integrations, digital campaigns, social storytelling, PR, and experiential).
Build scalable playbooks that streamline partnership execution, ensure cross‑functional alignment, and establish clear performance‑tracking frameworks to measure impact and optimise outcomes.
Manage cross‑functional alignment across Legal, Finance, Marketing, and Product teams to ensure successful deal execution.
Relationship Management
Cultivate and manage a portfolio of key brand and media partners to ensure long‑term success and mutual value.
Build executive‑level relationships with partner organisations and serve as the Headspace brand ambassador in partnership conversations.
Track performance and report on partnership results and insights to senior leadership.
Internal Leadership & Collaboration
Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure brand partnerships ladder up to the broader marketing and brand strategy.
Contribute to internal guidance and best practices around cultural partnerships, wellness collaborations, and purpose‑driven marketing.
Support creative development and storytelling for partnership announcements, case studies, and go‑to‑market narratives.
What you will bring Required Skills
6+ years of experience in brand partnerships, strategic alliances, or business development within the consumer, lifestyle, entertainment, or digital media industries.
Proven track record of building and executing co‑marketing, content, or experiential partnerships that drive measurable brand and business impact.
Strong negotiation and relationship‑building skills with senior brand, agency, and media stakeholders.
Creative thinker with deep understanding of consumer insights, cultural trends, and storytelling through partnerships.
Strong project management skills and ability to work cross‑functionally in a fast‑paced environment.
Passion for Headspace’s mission and a genuine belief in the power of mindfulness and mental well‑being.
Preferred Skills
Experience working in health, wellness, lifestyle, or purpose‑driven brands.
Background in media, influencer, or entertainment partnerships.
MBA or advanced degree in Marketing, Business, or Communications.
Location We are currently hiring this role remotely in the US and Hybrid for San Francisco (SF) with a strong preference for SF‑based candidates. Candidates must permanently reside in the US full‑time. For candidates with a primary residence in the greater SF area, this role will follow our hybrid model: 3 days per week from our office and the remainder remotely.
Pay & Benefits The anticipated new hire base salary range for this full‑time position is $101,300-$144,000 + variable comp + equity + benefits.
Our salary ranges are based on the job, level, and location, and reflect the lowest to highest geographic markets where we are hiring for this role within the United States. Within this range, individual compensation is determined by a candidate’s location as well as a range of factors including but not limited to unique relevant experience, job‑related skills, and education or training. Your recruiter will provide more details on the specific salary range for your location during the hiring process.
