Financial and Insurance Analyst at CRICO.
Base Pay Range $67,000.00/yr – $90,000.00/yr
Role Summary The Financial & Insurance Analyst plays a pivotal role in CRICO’s finance department and data governance program. You will conduct financial analysis, forecasting and insurance analysis while ensuring data is complete, accurate, and timely for operational and analytical use.
Responsibilities
Conduct detailed financial & insurance analysis, reporting and projections, including trend analysis, loss analysis, and financial modeling.
Prepare and present accurate and timely financial data and reports to management and stakeholders.
Assist in evaluating and determining financial & insurance risks and opportunities related to insurance programs, including premium pricing, capital position, loss and reserve, and other activities.
Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards; assist with internal and external audits.
Work closely with teams including underwriting, claims, actuaries, and IT to gather relevant data and provide financial insights.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial & insurance analysis and reporting.
Support the Enterprise Data Governance team to implement and operationalize data governance processes, best practices, and software across the organization.
Other activities and tasks as assigned.
Qualifications Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field. Master’s degree or professional certification is a plus.
3+ years of demonstrated experience in financial analysis and reporting is a plus but not required, preferably in the insurance industry.
Strong experience using SQL and other programming languages is a plus.
Skills
Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis tools, advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills, and familiarity with related software.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, with keen attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to a fast‑paced, dynamic work environment.
Skilled in leveraging data analysis tools and techniques to obtain, clean, and organize data to generate recommendations and insights.
