Overview As a General Manager (GM), you’ll provide reliable financial solutions to help customers manage everyday challenges. You’ll be the driving force behind store success, managing daily operations and leading your team to grow revenue, uphold compliance, and build brand loyalty through world‑class customer service in a fast‑paced, customer‑focused environment designed to inspire high performance, growth, and innovation.

What You’ll Do – Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Manage overall store performance by meeting or exceeding company performance standards.

Coach, lead, and develop all team members to build new business and increase store growth by demonstrating knowledge of and training on systems, company standards, account management, recovery, job duties, and performance reports.

Lead the charge for all team members to identify local marketing strategies, use B2B partnership opportunities, obtain referrals, host community and in‑store events to drive growth and build revenue.

Examine, evaluate, and process loan/pawn applications and all relevant transactions, assessing risk within established limits.

Enforce adherence to quality standards, procedures, and local and state laws and regulations.

Participate in audits and compliance reviews as directed by the corporate office or district manager.

Supervise and maintain office security including cash management and loss prevention by verifying and documenting cash overages/shortages, vault, inventory, deposits, and expenses.

Conduct proper opening and closing procedures and train new staff in keyholder duties.

Participate in the selection, review, hiring, and retention of new employees.

Develop work schedules in accordance with budget, workloads, and store needs to ensure optimal staffing.

Handle complex customer situations with integrity and professionalism.

Monitor and maintain internal and external store appearance, addressing facility needs including scheduling maintenance services.

Perform duties outside of the office, including on‑site vehicle appraisals, store errands, and external marketing.

Work efficiently in a rapidly changing, fast‑paced environment and handle multiple challenging tasks to meet performance standards.

Conduct additional tasks as directed by leadership.

Maintain a full‑time work schedule with regular in‑person attendance, including weekends (minimum 40 hours per week).

What We’re Looking For – Qualifications and Skills

A high school diploma or equivalent.

Minimum two years’ experience with proven success in a supervisory or leadership role in retail, finance, service, or related industries.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Proficiency in using phones, POS, Microsoft Office, and other systems.

Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and personal vehicle for use throughout the workday (mileage compensated).

Must be at least 18 years of age (19 in Alabama).

Background check required; all results considered in accordance with applicable law.

Ability to meet physical demands: standing up to 90% of the time; moving and transporting up to 25 pounds; operating mechanical controls such as a keyboard.

Nice to Haves – Preferred Qualifications and Skills

Associate's degree or higher.

Experience in check cashing, document verification, and money order processing.

Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus and may be required for certain locations.

Benefits & Perks This position has an hourly pay rate of $19.25 and is eligible for performance bonuses. The compensation listed represents the base pay for this position, which is one of many elements of our Total Compensation package.
