Job Requirements and Duties
Responsible for everything that happens during your shift, including cost control, inventory control, cash control, and customer relations.
Set the example; follow all policy and procedures 100% of the time and expect the same from your crew.
Staffing, paperwork, cost controls, cash control, food management, work to a schedule, perfect image and adherence to standards, great customer service, attendance & punctuality, transportation to/from work, store cleanliness, marketing, profitability.
Key Responsibilities
Operate all equipment.
Stock ingredients, manage inventory, and maintain proper storage.
Prepare product and receive/process telephone orders.
Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
Clean equipment and facility daily.
Provide training and coaching to new staff.
Maintain communication skills: give written instruction and verbal interaction with customers and co‑workers.
Essential Functions / Skills
Perform accurate math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, change).
Make correct monetary change.
Strong verbal, writing, and telephone skills for orders.
Motor coordination and rapid precise movements.
Enter orders using keyboard or touchscreen.
Navigational skills to read maps and locate addresses.
Navigate adverse terrain, multi‑story buildings, and other delivery sites carrying product.
Work Conditions
Varying temperatures, weather and outdoor exposure.
Exposure to food odors, cornmeal dust, and hot surfaces/tools.
Cramped spaces such as walk‑in cooler.
Sharp edges and moving mechanical parts.
Physical Requirements
Standing – most tasks performed from a standing position.
Walking – short distances and short durations; delivery personnel travel between store and vehicle.
Sitting – paperwork at office desk.
Lifting – bulk product deliveries up to 50 lbs; case stacking onto shelving up to 72”.
Carrying – large cans (3 lbs, 7 oz), pizza sauce (30 lbs), pizza dough trays (~12 lbs).
Pushing – trays on dollies requiring up to 7.5 lbs force.
Climbing – navigate stairs or ladders; deliveries may require five or more flights.
Stooping / bending – required at assembly station; repeated throughout day.
Reaching – up, down, sideways; up to 72” for oven controls & shelf items.
Driving – deliver pizzas using personal vehicle; must have a valid driver’s license and insured vehicle.
